All pictures tell a story, and most family or wedding photos tend to tell the exact same one: well-dressed people composed with polite, smiling faces. While there is always a place for a timeless, traditional portrait, I believe the real magic begins when the formal posing stops. That is when the genuine, unforced moments happen and true memories are made. Those are the stories I love to document as a North of Boston photographer based out of Peabody, MA.
Documenting the In-Between
I take a unique approach to photography because I know that not everyone loves standing in front of a lens. It is entirely natural to feel a bit nervous or self-conscious. My primary goal is to build an environment where you feel completely comfortable, uninhibited, and at ease. No forced smiles or rigid expectations—just a calm space where you can genuinely enjoy the people you love. When you look back at your gallery decades from now, I want you to hold a photograph that evokes the exact warmth, laughter, and emotion you felt in that singular moment.

I cannot say enough good things about David and his little helper (daughter). He takes such wonderful photos (family / babies included) and is so patient, especially when babies act as babies do. He did a great job calming down our little one for newborn photos and we went back for holiday photos and he and his daughter helped watch our LO in between outfit changes. We forgot something for one of our planned outfits and he was so accommodating. Anyone nearby should absolutely use David for all your photography needs, but he’s worth a commute too!
